It was my 23rd birthday
yesterday and spent most of the day on my own! As of
yesterday, I had the rest of the week off work which
is nice though.
Despite being on my own, it was quite a nice day yesterday,
relaxing, surfing the net, getting my hair cut, drinking
tea and having fag breaks when I want and not when I
am told I am allowed to.
Gemma and Ben made my day nicer with presents in the
morning and a suprise birthday cake in the afternoon.
Change of plan recently regarding my birthday money
though. Unfortunately I have been having a few problems
with the car recently since the weather got colder and
I have spent nearly all my money on the following service
parts:
Silkolene Pro S 5W-40 Oil & Filter
Distributor Cap
Rotor Arm
Ignition Leads
NGK Iridium Spark Plugs
Thermostat
Fuel Filter
My posts on the Owner's club about this can be found
here
and here.
Other than the oil and filter that I have already done,
the weekend after next is the date set for fitting these
parts and I just hope they will sort all the problems.
Myself and a friend are doing the fitting of these parts
which I am confident now, will go well.
I even got a proper Socket tool set for my birthday
from Gemma's parents which should help.
I am off to wash the car in the freezing cold now, I
am sure I will post a story on how the fitting of my
new parts go.

| Birthday!

| It's March and by the
time the month is up, I'll be 23!
With birthdays come presents and that means a new toy
for the car! I've thought long and hard and "window
shopped" online for a good while to get ideas.
I think that I have settled on a new steering wheel
and after a chat with the lads over at the owner's club,
gone with my original choice of a "Momo Millenium".
A small pic of the wheel can be seen on the right.
I am going to attempt the fitting for myself and while
its quite a small job, will be the first proper mod
I've done all on my own. Just praying that it will all
go ok. I don't much want to be turning on a roundabout
only for the steering wheel to come off in my hands!
Prices for the wheel and fitting kit seem to be pretty
standard everywhere I look. I might have now settled
on the shop "Carnoisseur" seeing as they offer
it for the same price as everywhere else and the guys
I have talked to that work in the Plymouth branch were
particularly helpful.
I got onto talking about future mods with the manager
of the store and seem to have found quite a good deal
with some new bucket seats. The deal comprises 2 Cobra
Daytona seats, the subframes needed to fit them to the
car and personalised stitching on the seats, all for
£500.
This price doesn't include fitting but who knows; if
the steering wheel mod goes ok, maybe I'll be attempting
the fitting of the seats as well!
That's all for now, have a great month and I am sure
I will be posting a pic or two of my new wheel when
its fitted!
